Hi, I'ld like to introduce myself, I'm HILCO

As Hardrocker in the '70

In the '80 in front of a poster of my idol

Nice of you to visit my site and take the time to look around. I'm born in 1959 and got crazy about music at a very young age. Through my older sister I learned about the music of C.C.R. and Deep Purple. When I was 13 I heard Alice Cooper for the first time and since then my life has changed; in a positive way. I wanted to know everything about music. My bedroom was full of Alice Cooper and everything that had anything to do with Glam-Rock.

A few years later my music-taste started to expand a bit and I got crazy about Hard-Rock. Especially Uriah Heep; I didn't want to miss any concert of them. I went a lot to concerts those days and took the camera with me more often, because I wanted to have pictures of my idols. Then the Punk-scene came and that was even more spectacular. My taste of music has always been very broad but 2 popartists have always been like a leading thread running through my life and those were David Bowie and Boudewijn de Groot. As I was visiting more and more concerts I took my camera more often to take pictures to remember them by, because when I see a picture I can remember a lot about the concert were it has been taken. Unfortunately it gets harder and harder to take a camera with you to a concert and I really hate myself that I didn't take pictures at some of the concerts I went to, like: Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin, Queen and Blondie and more concerts where it actually wasn't allowed.
I hope you enjoy the pictures, they're not professional but still are nice pictures taken by an amateur; to me they all have a story.

Meanwhile I've been together with my wife Esther for almost 20 years en she comes often to concerts with me and as you can see the children had to come with us even when they were very little. I wish my father took me to concerts when I was little then I might have seen the Beatles after all.

If you liked the site ( or maybe not ) I would really appreciate your message in the guestbook.
Have a great time browsing and see you at a concert !
