GREAT WHITE

A reunited and rejuvenated Great White kicked off their first European tour in 8 years in january 2008. Despite having only slept for only 2 hours on their trip from Copenhagen to Helmond  (their 2nd stop on the tour), the band looked and sounded fresh and put all effort into a 90 min+ show that was more than just a 'Greatest hits' set.  Of course no GW show would be complete without 'Rock me, Face the Day or Once bitten, Twice shy, but the inclusion of more obscure tracks like 'Down on your knees', 'lovin kind' and even songs from guitarist Mark Kendall's and singer Jack Russell's last solo efforts, gave the die-hard fans a run for their money.

The new record 'Back to the Rhythm' was only featured by its title track which is a shame really as the album has a LOT more to offer. But then again, GW can probably play for 3 hours straight and still leave something to be desired.with so many good songs under their belt. The Dutch crowd however seemd very satisfied with the setlist and were rewarded with a post-show meet 'n greet where the band signed cds and posed for photographs. Jack promised they would be back before the year was over so maybe next time there's room for 'Lady Red Light', The Angel Song' and maybe even track from the higly underrated 'Let it Rock' and 'Sail Away' albums.
